GW topped the annual Princeton Review ranking list for “most politically active students” in the country this year, earning back the No. 1 title after lagging to fourth place in 2010.

The group released its rankings Monday, also placing GW at No. 4 in the nation under the category “great college towns” and No. 10 for “easiest campus to get around.” The University slumped to the No. 15 slot for “dorms like palaces” — a category GW also saw a downfall in last year, when it dropped from eighth to tenth place.

In 2010, neighboring American University inched higher in the rankings for its politically-charged student body, clinching the No. 1 spot, and GW slipped to the No. 4 slot after topping the list in 2009.

American trailed to No. 5 this year while Georgetown University locked down the No. 2 spot for its young politicos.
