Destruction

3/9/11 – Time unknown Location: Ivory Tower Case closed

A student reported to the University Police Department that another student punched a hole in the wall of her room.

3/11/11 – 12:51 a.m. Location: Public property on campus Case closed

UPD officers responded to a report of two subjects unaffiliated with GW tearing down fliers and damaging a tire on a bicycle. Officers located and identified the subjects several blocks away and barred them from campus.

Arson

3/12/11 – 2:20 a.m. Location: JBKO Hall Open case

UPD officers responded to a report of a fire alarm activation. Officers swept the building and found a smoke detector set off by a burning bulletin board.

Liquor Law Violation

3/14/11 – 11:23 p.m. Location: West Hall Case Closed

UPD officers responded to a report of an intoxicated student. While searching for the student, officers observed alcohol in plain view. Officers made contact with the student who was assessed and released.

Driving Under the Influence

3/16/11 – 2:30 a.m. Location: Off campus Case closed

UPD officers observed a vehicle hit a curb and sidewalk. Officers made contact with the individuals in the vehicle, who were not affiliated with GW. U.S. Park Police officers arrived on scene and arrested the driver. An unconscious passenger was transported to GW Hospital.

Disorderly Conduct

3/17/11 – 5:05 p.m. Location: Medical Faculty Associates Case closed

UPD responded to a report of a patient’s wife cursing and yelling at staff and spitting on the floor. The subject and her husband left the area before officers arrived.

3/19/11 – 7:10 p.m. Location: Hall on Virginia Avenue Case closed

UPD officers responded to a verbal altercation between a couple, a GW student and a subject unaffiliated with GW. The individual unaffiliated with GW was barred from campus.

Theft

3/17/11 – 5:45 p.m. Location: Burns Law Library Open case

A faculty member reported to UPD that she left her office unsecured and later noticed her cell phone and wallet were missing.

Simple Assault

3/19/11 – 12:03 a.m. Location: 21st Street and Pennsylvania Ave. Case closed

UPD officers responded to an altercation between two women unaffiliated with GW. D.C. Fire and EMS responded to treat them for their minor injuries. Neither party pressed charges against the other.
No further action


Unlawful Entry

3/21/11 – 4:30 a.m. Location: Hall on Virginia Avenue Case closed

UPD officers responded to a report of a suspicious male subject. Officers encountered the subject in a stairwell leading to the parking garage, and he was identified and barred from campus.
