Volleyball cruises in win

The GW women’s volleyball team swept Loyola (Md.) 3-0 in their last road game before their home opener Friday.

Junior Leah Hill led the Colonials with 15 points on 15 kills. GW will play in the renovated Smith Center’s first game this fall on Friday against Rode Island at 7 p.m.


Number Crunch: 2

The number of assists collected by junior Marcus Ranney in the men’s soccer team’s 2-0 win over Navy Wednesday. Ranney played a role in creating both of the Colonials’ goals.
