Crime Log

Assault

9/27/09 – Thurston Hall – 1:15 a.m. – Case closed

University Police Department officers responded to reports of an assault in an elevator in Thurston Hall. The altercation involved three subjects, two of whom were not affiliated with GW. The Metropolitan Police Department was notified and detectives took statements from the subjects. No arrests were made. Student referred to Student Judicial Services, non-affiliated subjects barred from campus

Disorderly Conduct

9/26/09 – Crawford Hall – 12:27 a.m. – Case closed

UPD officers responded to reports of a male subject urinating in front of Crawford Hall. The subject was assessed and determined not to be intoxicated. Referred to SJS

Driving While Intoxicated

9/27/09 – Virginia Avenue – 3 a.m. – Case closed

UPD officers observed an unknown subject driving the wrong way down a one-way street. The male subject pulled over and got out of his car. Officers determined that he was intoxicated. MPD was notified and arrested the individual. Closed by arrest

Drug Law Violation

9/24/09 – Schenley Hall – 7:20 p.m. – Case closed

UPD detected a suspicious odor coming from a room in Schenley Hall. GW Housing Programs staff conducted an administrative search and found 3.4 grams of marijuana, paraphernalia and alcohol. Referred to SJS

9/26/09 – Ivory Tower – 2:26 a.m. – Case closed

UPD responded to a report of an intoxicated female student in the lobby of Ivory Tower. Officers assessed the situation and sent her to GW Hospital. Referred to SJS

9/28/09 – Outside Thurston Hall – 1:24 a.m. -Case closed.

UPD responded to a report of an intoxicated male student sitting on a bench outside Thurston Hall. The subject was assessed and sent to GW Hospital. Referred to SJS

Theft

9/27/09 – 2:30 a.m. – FSK Hall – Case closed

UPD officers responded to a noise complaint in FSK Hall. Upon entering the room, a table taken from the Marvin Center was in plain sight. Referred to SJS

Unlawful Entry

9/23/09 – 5:05 p.m. – 1957 E Street – Case closed

A female not affiliated with GW was arrested by UPD when she tried to attend a class in 1957 E Street. The subject had been previously barred from campus. Closed by arrest
