Women’s water polo:

The Colonials finished third in Saturday’s CWPA Southern Division Championship, losing 15-7 to host Maryland before beating Bucknell 12-11 in overtime. Freshman Allison Peotter scored twice in the extra period for the win over the Bison, which snapped a four-year drought for GW without a division win. Nine different Colonials scored in the victory.

Women’s tennis:

GW’s women’s tennis team wrapped up its season with a 4-0 win over Saint Joseph’s Saturday in the second round of the Atlantic 10 consolation bracket. The Colonials were victorious in every completed singles and doubles match of the afternoon and were leading the remaining contests before time was called.

Softball:

GW split a Sunday afternoon doubleheader at Rhode Island, taking the first game 3-1 before falling 7-0 in the second. Junior Amanda Gabriel scattered three hits and struck out seven in a complete-game effort, while classmate Elisa Van Kirk hit a two-run home run in the first contest. The Colonials managed just three baserunners in their second-game loss.
