Local basketball recruits named to All-Met teams

A pair of incoming GW basketball recruits earned All-Met honors from The Washington Post on Wednesday.

Danni Jackson, a native of Forest Park, Va., who will join the women’s basketball team this fall, was named to the newspaper’s All-Met First Team, adding another accolade to her list that already includes twice being named Virginia AAA Northwest player of the year.

Lasan Kromah, who plays for Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, Md., and has reportedly committed to play for the GW men’s team, was named to the All-Met Fourth Team.

Jackson, a 5-foot-3 guard, averaged 23.5 points per game this past season. Kromah, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard, averaged 20.3 points per game and made 54 three-point shots in 25 games.
