3/11/09 – Tompkins Hall – open case

A student employee told University Police Department officers that he left his backpack locked in an office in Tompkins Hall. When he returned the next day he noticed that a camera was missing from the bag.

Liquor Law Violation

3/12/09 – 12:22 a.m. – New Hall – case closed

UPD officers received a call about a noise complaint in the residence hall. Once they entered the room, they observed alcohol in plain view and 14 individuals, some of whom were not GW students. Alcohol was disposed of on the scene and the individuals not affiliated with GW were barred from campus. Referred to Student Judicial Services

3/12/09 – Public property on campus – 11:32 p.m. – case closed

While on patrol, a UPD officer noticed a female student that was intoxicated on the street. She was stopped and admitted she had been drinking earlier. She was transported to the GW Hospital. Referred to SJS

Lewd Act

3/17/09 – 2:39 p.m. – Marvin Center – case closed

An individual observed a man masturbating in the men’s restroom and reported the incident to UPD. He was not affiliated with GW. Subject barred form campus

An individual observed a GW employee masturbating in the men’s restroom. Referred to department

Simple Assault

3/14/09 – 3:11 a.m. – Public property on campus

A UPD officer observed a female GW student staggering through campus. Officers performed a sobriety test and during the course of the test, the student attempted to slap one of the officers. She then removed one of her shoes and threw it at an officer. She was placed in protective custody and transported to the GW Hospital. Referred to SJS
