Moving into Foggy Bottom

Rising juniors and seniors deciding on housing have the option to move out of the residence halls, and Foggy Bottom has many options for students looking to live close to or on-campus. Apartment sizes and prices vary, but most buildings offer studio, one- and two- bedroom apartments.

<strongThe Statesman, 2020 F St., NW
This on-campus building offers a 24-hour doorman. Utilities are included in the rent, which starts at $1400 for a studio apartment. There is a gym and laundry room in the building. They offer studio and one-bedroom apartments.

Columbia Plaza, 2400 Virginia Ave., NW
Columbia Plaza’s five buildings hold an array of apartments ranging from studio to duplex two-bedrooms. The buildings have laundry rooms and gyms, and one building has a 24-hour doorman. Studios start at $1400 a month.

The Savoy, 1101 New Hampshire Ave., NW
The Savoy is located across the street from the Ritz Carlton on M St. The building offers a 24-hour doorman, controlled-access entry and a rooftop sundeck and pool. A 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour emergency maintenance and laundry room cover the essentials. Studio apartments start at $1495 a month. They offer studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Winston House, 2140 L Street NW
Winston House has a fitness center with dressing rooms and saunas, a rooftop sundeck, 24-hour doorman and 24-hour maintenance support. There is also a deli and dry cleaner in the building. Apartments feature wall-to-wall carpeting, washer/dryers and high-speed Internet. One-bedroom apartments start at $1750 a month. They offer one- and two- bedroom apartments.

2400 M – 2400 M Street NW
2400 M is one of the nicer apartment buildings near campus. Students who rent apartments from the building will have access to amenities absent from many of the off-campus buildings listed here. 2400 M allows dogs, and the building is a short walk from Georgetown. There is a roof-top deck and pool and outdoor barbecue, as well as a business center, fitness center, package services and cocktail parties sponsored by the building. Apartments feature washer/dryers, microwaves, wall-to-wall carpeting, granite counters in the kitchens, and high-speed Internet access. Studios start at $1790. They offer studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

Potomac Park, 510 21st Street NW
This on-campus apartment building offers studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. The building has a laundry room, parking, and high-speed Internet access. There is no doorman, but the building is controlled access. Studio apartments start at $1280 a month.
