FroYo: The sweet and healthy treat that is taking over D.C.

Mr. Yogato

Mr. Yogato is dedicated to the art of frozen yogurt, including wacky flavors and more than 40 toppings to choose from. In addition to the two main flavors of yogurt, original and tangy, there are also one or two “flavors of the week,” which range from blueberry to mojito. With toppings that include Cracker Jacks, wheat germ and balsamic vinaigrette, this is the place to go for a new frozen yogurt experience.

TangySweet

This new Dupont Circle shop offers both frozen yogurt and smoothies made from their yogurt. TangySweet tries to keep its yogurt healthy, offering only fruit or cereal toppings for plain, green tea and pomegranate flavors.

Sweet Green

In addition to freshly made salads and wraps, this small Georgetown restaurant’s other specialty is its frozen yogurt. Although only offered in one flavor, plain, there are toppings that vary from fruit to granola to chocolate. It’s a bit of a trek, located at the top of M Street, but the yogurt is definitely worth it. 3333 M Street, N.W. 1/2 cup = 80 calories
