Catch a free rock show at Mitchell Theater (514 19th St N.W. – entrance inside 7-11) this Friday night, sponsored by Program Board and WRGW radio. Headlining the show is Brooklyn, N.Y. -based band Via Audio. Jim Eno of Spoon produced their latest album, “Say Something,” and the band has since become a new favorite amongst bloggers and indie rockers alike. Doors open at 8 p.m., with Tigercity and Bottles/Cans opening.

The Rock and Roll Hotel has got you covered! The Black and Tan Fantasy Band- which features Ashish Vyas of Thievery Corporation, Jerry Busher of Fugazi, and D.C.’s answer to Robert Walter, Will Rast- will headline on Friday, with D.C.-based electronic vocalist Yoko K and Baltimore funk/jamband Basshound opening at 9:30 p.m.

If you have $20

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Tracy Morgan will perform a hilarious stand-up act GW’s Lisner Auditorium Saturday at 8 p.m. The man who yelled, “Get me a soda, bitch!” to SNL producer Lorne Michaels on the air now stars as Tracy Jordan in the Emmy award winning series “30 Rock” on NBC. Discounted tickets are available at the Lisner box office for GW students, with the public price set at $29.50.
