Peeping Tom

1/14/08 – Schenley Hall – 11:15 a.m. – case closed

A female student reported that she was taking a shower when an unknown male individual entered her bathroom. He said he was working in the building, and soon left the room. A male friend of the complainant called the University Police Department and officers arrived about 45 minutes later. UPD officers did a sweep of the building, and found a male matching the complainant’s description. The complainant then identified the individual, but declined to press charges.

Attempted Theft

1/19/08 – 800 block of F Street – 2:50 a.m. – case closed

A UPD officer observed a male individual arguing with a taxi driver about his fare. The individual told the officer he was going to an ATM to get money, but then he started to run away. Officers caught and escorted him to an ATM at Marvin Center, and the driver left without pressing charges.

Burglary II

1/18/08 – Duqu?s Hall – 2:10 p.m. – case closed

A female individual reported to UPD that she left her purse in a room with the door open for five minutes, and when she returned she saw someone exiting the room. After checking her purse, she discovered her wallet was missing. When UPD officers arrived, the unidentified suspect was gone.

Drug Law Violation

1/19/08 – Fulbright Hall – 2:28 a.m. – case closed

UPD responded to a suspicious odor coming from a room in the residence hall. Officers found five underage individuals in the room, and alcohol in plain view. The community director was contacted, who then performed an administrative search. Drug paraphernalia as well as the alcohol was confiscated.

1/20/08 – West End – 12:33 a.m. – case closed

A UPD officer on patrol smelled a suspicious odor coming from a room. The community director on duty was called to perform an administrative search, and 11.6 grams of marijuana were confiscated, as well as several different types of prescription pills. It was unclear whether the two individuals in the room had prescriptions for the pills.

Harassment

1/21/08 – Off Campus – 1:00 a.m. – case closed

A female complainant told UPD another female had been calling her repeatedly, verbally assaulting her and calling her names. She said the caller is probably her boyfriend’s former girlfriend.

Liquor Law Violation

1/19/08 – 2000 Block of F Street – 2:33 a.m. – case closed

UPD responded to a report of an intoxicated female individual. After identifying the individual, officers assessed her condition and she was transported by EMeRG to GW Hospital for further medical attention.

1/21/08 – Public Property on Campus – 1:27 a.m. – case closed

UPD officers observed a male individual assisting his friend who was having trouble walking. After assessing the intoxicated individual, officers took him to GW Hospital for further medical attention.
