After announcing earlier this month that it has signed six freshmen to its ranks for next season, the GW women’s basketball team appears set to welcome a seventh new face to its roster next year.
Wake Forest junior Yolanda Lavender has transferred to GW, and said in an e-mail she will start practicing with the team Tuesday. Because of NCAA transfer regulations, Lavender said she will not be eligible to suit up for GW until December.
Lavender, a guard from D.C., earned Honorable Mention All-ACC honors last season.
