Liquor Law Violation

11/19/07 – Fulbright Hall – 9 p.m. – case closed

University Police Department officers responded to a noise complaint at a room in Fulbright. Upon entering, officers observed a group of students drinking alcohol out of red plastic cups. All 21 occupants of the room were underage, and after assessment, none needed further medical attention.

11/20/07 – Outside of Guthridge Hall – 9:17 p.m. – case closed

A UPD officer on patrol observed a male and female having a verbal dispute outside of Guthridge Hall. The officer smelled alcohol on the male individual’s breath, and his condition was assessed. He was not affiliated with GW and was barred from campus.

11/21/07 – Dakota Hall – 1:00 a.m. – case closed

UPD officers responded to a complaint of loud music coming from a room. Before entering, officers heard loud music and yelling. They entered the room and found alcohol and 16 individuals, 12 of whom were underage. All were assessed, and officers determined that no one needed further medical attention.

11/25/07 – Mitchell Hall 7-Eleven – 10:15 a.m. – case closed

UPD officers responded to a complaint from 7-Eleven patrons that a female individual was asking for money and demanding food stamps. The proprietor of the store told her he did not have any stamps, and the woman left the scene before UPD arrived.

11/21/07 – Burns Law Library – time unknown – case closed

A male complainant reported to UPD that he left his laptop unattended in the library for 15 minutes, and when he returned it was gone.

Threats

11/21/07 – City Hall – 9:30 a.m. – case closed

UPD responded to a verbal dispute between two female roommates. One roommate was upset about the other disturbing her personal property, and another roommate threatened her. UPD contacted the community director before both of the students left for Thanksgiving break.

Unlawful Entry

11/26/07 – University Parking Garage – 5 a.m. – case closed

Parking staff for the garage arrived to work at 4 a.m. and found a homeless man leaning against the door to their office asleep. UPD officers responded, and after identifying him they determined that he had been barred from campus five years ago.
