Destruction

11/10/07 – Ivory Tower – 12:44 a.m. – case closed

A student reported broken ceiling tiles in their residence hall. University Police Department officers arrived and found that 14 ceiling tiles on the second floor had been vandalized.

Disorderly Conduct

11/09/07 – New Hall – 11:56 p.m. – case closed

Officers observed an intoxicated female student outside the residence hall. Due to her high level of intoxication, they contacted EMeRG as well as D.C. Fire. The student was of age and transported by D.C. Fire to GW Hospital for further medical attention.

11/11/07 – Francis Scott Key Hall – 5:30 p.m. – case closed

UPD responded to a report of an individual throwing glass bottles out of a window. Two witnesses showed officers the room where the bottles originated. Officers entered the room and found three male individuals, two of whom were underage GW students. The bottles found outside matched alcohol found in the room. No one needed further medical attention, and the individual unaffiliated with GW was barred from campus.

Drug Law Violation

11/09/07 – Potomac House – 10:10 p.m. – case closed

An officer on patrol smelled a suspicious odor coming from a room. When no one answered the door, officers entered and saw three male individuals smoking marijuana. A community director on duty performed an administrative search and found drug paraphernalia.

11/11/07 – Mitchell Hall – 11:40 p.m. – case closed

A UPD officer responded to a report of a suspicious odor coming from a room. The officer knocked on the door, and when no one answered he entered the room and witnessed a male individual throwing a jar of marijuana out of the window. The community director was contacted to perform an administrative search, and marijuana was found in the room. About 1.6 grams of marijuana were confiscated.

Liquor Law Violation

11/10/07 – Thurston Hall – 6:55 a.m. – case closed

Officers found an underage male student passed out in a hallway of Thurston. EMeRG was called and they transported the student to GW Hospital for further medical attention.

11/11/07 – Thurston Hall – 1:48 a.m. – case closed

Officers in the lobby observed an underage male individual having a difficult time walking on his own. EMeRG responded to the scene, and the student was taken to GW Hospital for further medical attention.

Theft I

11/11/07 – Off campus – 1:00 a.m. – case closed

A female complainant said she left her purse hanging on the back of her chair while she was dancing at a restaurant. When she returned to her seat, her purse had been stolen along with its contents.
