Basketball Preview: Number Crunch, Did You Know?

Did you know?

Freshman Jabari Edwards’s high school coach, Dan Hurley, is the son of Bob Hurley Sr., who coached fellow GW freshman Miles Beatty in high school. Bob’s other son, Bobby, won two national championships at Duke University in 1991 and 1992 before being drafted seventh overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 1993 NBA Draft.

Number Crunch

100: The number of total weeks the GW’s women’s basketball team has been ranked in the top 25 in the AP Poll during head coach Joe McKeown’s tenure. The team is ranked 14th in the AP poll and 13th in the Coaches poll.

10: The number of out-of-conference games the men’s basketball team will play this year, two less than the maximum allowed.

1: The number of seniors the women’s basketball team lost.

2: The ranking of UCLA men’s basketball team, according to AP and Coaches polls. GW will play the Bruins Nov. 28 in Westwood, Calif.
