Dude! It’s officially Dude Fest at the Arlington Cinema ‘N’ Drafthouse (2903 Columbia Pike in Arlington, Va.) At 8 p.m. on Nov. 8, the cinema will be screening the 1998 cult favorite “The Big Lebowski,” complete with an acoustic set by Dave Jordan, who will be covering songs from the movie’s soundtrack. Lisner Auditorium continues its series of bringing in superior international talent this weekend with Yamato: Drummers of Japan. With a massive drum six feet in diameter made from a 400-year-old tree as their centerpiece, the highly skilled drummers of Yamato play 40 “taiko” drums of various sizes, blending phenomenally powerful and dramatic drumming with music of delicate beauty and humor. Discounted tickets are available to GW students for $15.
