Toots & the Maytals: Light Your Light

There is nothing in the world that can stop the legendary reggae singer and his famous band from making new music. On his latest album, Toots brings in two very special guests to compliment his music, with Derek Trucks on the album’s new single “Johnny Coolman” and Bonnie Raitt singing on “Premature.”

Having just returned to D.C. for a stellar show at 9:30 Club, Toots is currently touring the country to promote his new album, a follow up to 2004’s Grammy Award winning “True Love.”

The album also features a cover of Ray Charles’ “I Gotta Woman,” Otis Redding’s “Pain In My Heart.” Other key tracks to listen to include “Celia,” “Love So Strong” and “Don’t Bother Me.”
