Women’s soccer

For the second straight time, the Colonials found victory in double-overtime, this time with a 1-0 win over American at Reeves Field Tuesday afternoon. Junior Erica Wright found the back of the net in the 105th minute after receiving the ball on an errant rebound. Goalie Amie Kern had a career-high 12 saves for the Colonials (5-2).

Golf

The GW golf team tied for fourth in a field of 12 at the Rehoboth Beach Invitational in Rehoboth Beach, Del. The 36-hole tournament was hosted by the Colonials at the par-71 Kings Creek Country Club. Senior Tim Johnson was the Colonials’ top finisher, placing fifth among 55 golfers.
