Men’s Soccer

The men’s soccer team allowed a goal to Richmond with three minutes remaining in regulation to fall 1-0 in Atlantic 10 Conference play. The Colonials (5-8-3, 2-4-2 A-10) launched 22 shots on the Spiders but could not even the score. The Colonials must win at La Salle on Sunday and receive outside help from other squads to qualify for the A-10 Championship.

Golf

The golf team finished 14th out of 15 teams at the Sleep Inn and Suits 49er Classic at Cabarrus Country Club in Concord, N.C. Charlotte, the host of the tournament, finished first with a combined score of 871. The school’s B squad finished second, followed by Davidson, Michigan and South Florida. Charlotte’s Ray Sneedy took individual medaling honors with a 209 (73-68-68). Sophomore Lewis Sturdy was the Colonials’ low scorer.
