Baseball drops two straight

The past two games have not been friendly to the GW baseball team. Wednesday night the Colonials (18-27) got clobbered 12-3 in College Park, Md., by Maryland (21-28). A day earlier, GW suffered an 8-7 loss to George Mason (19-26) in Arlington, Va. Against Maryland, right fielder Matt Maropis had a double, triple and home run with two RBI in the win. Senior Justin Prinstein gave up eight earned runs in five innings his first loss. The Colonials held a 7-5 lead over the Patriots Tuesday before freshman Tim Sexton gave up three runs in the ninth inning to earn the loss.
