Emocappella, GW’s favorite whiny-punk-rock-imitating a cappella group is back with a new CD, “Is it in yet?” Head over to the Betts Theater in the Marvin Center at 6 p.m. today for the group’s CD release party, where they’ll perform a free concert featuring all your favorites, like Tenacious D’s “Fuck her gently.”

If you have $10

High school is over, but we all like to reminisce, right? Well, not always. For anyone who got dumped at the prom, had wine spilled all over her dress or just never got asked to the big dance, there’s the Black Cat’s “New Wave Anti-Prom Dance Party.” Show up Saturday, at 9:30 p.m. in the prom outfit you wish you could have worn (if it weren’t for those parent chaperones) and $9 will allow you to dance the night away to five DJs spinning new wave music.

It’s Cinco de Mayo this Friday and what better way to celebrate the fifth of May than with a bar crawl? Cinco de Midtown features $2 beers and half-priced appetizers with a $5 admission. This price gets you into Madhatter, Porter’s Dining Saloon, Rumors, Sign of the Whale and The Front Page. Enjoy your fiesta.
