$5 – $10 – $20: An entertainment guide for the cash-strapped college student

If you have $5

You’ve lived in D.C. all year – or maybe for four years – but you’ve maybe only gotten to know a couple of the neighborhoods surrounding Foggy Bottom. WalkingTown D.C. offers free tours of D.C.’s lesser-known hotspots, such as Brookland, Kenilworth and Shaw. For schedules, visit www.culturaltourismdc.org.

If you have $10

The Campus Coalition Against Trafficking will present “Becoming Natasha,” a play about modern slavery, in Duqu?s Hall this Saturday at 7 p.m. The performance will be followed by a panel discussion with human rights experts. Admission is $10. RSVP in advance to [email protected].

If you have $20

If you have a means of getting to Baltimore and an extra $35, a bevy of bikini-clad women will be onstage waiting for you – at the Miss America Pageant, that is. The pageant, which lost its original home in Atlantic City, N.J., will be at the First Mariner Arena this year, and will be taped for TV Friday at 8 p.m.
