Weapons Violation

4/5 – 2100 block of F Street – 12:05 a.m. – case closed
University Police officers responded to a noise complaint at a parking lot. An officer observed a student whirling what appeared to be nun chucks. He said he was practicing for an upcoming talent show and was unaware that nun chucks were illegal. The weapon was confiscated. A pair of nun chucks was also confiscated last semester.
Reclassified as policy violation

Drug Law Violation

4/9 – 2109 F St. – 3:15 a.m. – case closed
UPD was notified by Community Living and Learning Center staff that an administrative search of a room was about to take place. During the search, CLLC staff found drug paraphernalia in the room that later tested positive for marijuana. A spent fire extinguisher was also found in the room.
Referred to Student Judicial Services

Theft

4/8 – Newman Catholic Center – 2:50 a.m. – case closed
UPD officers responded to a reported theft of the blue sign outside of the Newman Catholic Center at 2201 F St. An officer found five individuals carrying the sign on the 600 block of 24th Street. The officer confiscated the sign. Three of the individuals were not affiliated with the University and were barred from campus.
