$5 – $10 – $20: An entertainment guide for the cash-strapped college student

If you have $5

Trying to save up for your jaunt to Cancun Friday? Too cheap to even leave campus? Head over to the Marvin Center Thursday night at 7 or 10 p.m. to see “The Producers,” part of the Program Board’s free spring films series, in the Continental Ballroom. Upcoming screenings after break include “Munich” and “Syriana.”

If you have $10

If you’re “Hungry Like the Wolf” for some classic 80s music, head over to the Black Cat Saturday at 9:30 p.m. for the club’s “New Order vs. Duran Duran Dance Party.” Tickets are $9, and torn sweatshirts and scrunchies are recommended attire. Just kidding.

If you have $20

Also on Saturday, for those who didn’t get their fill of “Daily Show” encounters with Jon Stewart’s appearance at Colonials Weekend, the sardonic “journalist” Rob Corddry will talk about the business of faking the news at the Sixth and I Historic Synagogue this Saturday. Tickets are $20 at the door, but $12 if ordered in advance from Ticketmaster.
