Gymnastics

The GW gymnastics team tallied a season-high total of 190.975 en route to a fourth-place finish Sunday in Morgantown, W. Va. West Virginia won the quad meet with a score of 195.100. Ohio State (194.500) and Iowa (192.250) rounded out the top four. Senior Erin Aiken finished in the top 10 in vault and uneven bars. Junior Maggie Parrack finished tied for sixth with GW freshman Kristen Simpson in vault with a score of 9.775.

Women’s tennis

The GW women’s tennis team topped UMBC 4-3 Saturday at Mountclair Country Club in Montclair, Va. Senior Anastasia Skavronskaia, sophomores Kendall Swenson and Tracy Stecko, and freshman Madhuri Jha won their matches in straight sets. The Colonials, who improved to 1-1 with the win, return on Friday against Towson.
