Greek Week ends with $2,800 raised

Greek-letter organizations will donate about $2,800 to the American Red Cross, contributing to the relief efforts stemming from the hurricanes that decimated the Gulf Coast earlier this year, said junior Jennifer Nedeau, the Panhellenic Association vice president of marketing and public relations.

Some of that money, raised during this year’s Greek Week, was used to subsidize the costs of the events.

Included in the festivities last week were a charity ball, where Greek-letter organizations won points for the percentage of their members in attendance, and the Wild Wild West Skit Night, held Monday in Lisner Auditorium.

Phi Kappa Psi won from among the participating fraternities, and Alpha Phi and Sigma Kappa tied for first place from among the participating sororities.
