The GW men’s crew team began its fall season with the 2005 Occoquan Chase Regatta in Lorton, Va. The GW varsity squad placed second behind Virginia. The freshman eight beat the Hokies and Georgetown. GW returns to action at the Head of the Charles Oct. 22-23 in Boston.

M. Soccer

Freshman Michael Rollings was named Rookie of the Week by the Atlantic 10 for men’s soccer. Rollings scored two goals and registered an assist in the Colonials’ 6-1 win over Saint Joseph’s. The squad travels to Amherst, Mass., Friday to face Massachusetts and travels to Rhode Island for a game on Sunday.
