Senior Brian Carroll and redshirt sophomore Bob Rohr each fired 147 en route to tie for fifth place finishes in the Rehoboth Beach Fall Invitational on Monday. Drexel won the GW-hosted tournament with an overall score of 589, followed by GW’s 593. Navy finished in third with a 598. Drexel’s Keith Snyder finished in first place, carding an impressive three-under-par 139. Junior Raman Luthra finished in fifth for the Colonials with a 148 (77-71). The duo of sophomore Tim Johnson and senior Andrew Gallo finished in 11th place, carding a seven-over-par 149.

Tennis

Sophomore Mustafa Gencsoy captured the Flight A singles title in the 2005 D.C. Metropolitan Tennis Championships that took place from Sept. 23-25. Freshman Michael Campagna topped classmate Mark Lansman in straight sets in the consolation final while senior Will Timmons fell in the quarterfinals to Faron Carter of Howard University. On the women’s side, senior Anastasia Skavronskaia won four straight contests to capture the Flight A championship. Sophomores Kendall Swenson and Tracy Stecko won the main draw in the consolation doubles bracket.
