Quick View: CFs by the numbers

Students this year are learning to adapt to the impact of the increased numbers of community facilitators living in upperclassman residence halls. While the costs imposed on privacy, freedom and personal responsibility cannot be measured, the baseline dollar impact of the CF increase is quantifiable.

111 community facilitators, including 44 additional CFs this year, with a $4,600 (or more) stipend per CF, while the additional CFs occupy rooms that are usually double, costing a normal student between $8,900 to $10,000 resulting in more than $202,400 in stipends and around $418,000 in housing benefits for the additional CFs for a toal of around $620,000 in added costs, an amount that could have paid the salaries and benefits for 15 new University Police officers if behavior within the residence halls was an issue.
