9/15 – 11:08 p.m. – public property on campus – case closed
An off-duty UPD officer witnessed an individual vandalizing newspaper stands and hitting parked cars with his hands at the 800 block of 21st Street. When the officer inquired about his activities, the subject shoved the officer. Following the shove, the subject, who was under 21 and intoxicated, was placed under arrest upon the arrival of other officers. He initially denied being a student, but he was determined to be a GW student by a record check. Since the car he had been hitting sustained no damage, the owner chose not to press charges.
