The story “The Rhodes less traveled” (April 18, p. 7) erroneously quoted Susan Karamanian, who did not say the original purpose in giving out Rhodes Scholarships was to establish a secret society. The version of Cecil J Rhodes’ will announcing the creation of the scholarships made no mention of a secret society.

The story “Preparing for the Saudi assignment” (April 18, p. 7) erroneously reported that Stephanie Hallett’s job in Saudi Arabia will include issuing visas to Saudis who wish to come to the U.S. Her job will be to interview Saudi citizens who submit non-immigrant visa applications to the U.S. Consulate in Jeddah.
