Sorority delivers Breakfast in Bed
The Phi Sigma Sigma sorority’s sixth annual Breakfast in Bed event raised about $1,400 for the Phi Sigma Sigma foundation and the National Kidney Foundation.
“It’s our signature,” Phi Sigma Sigma President Melissa Goldszer said. “Breakfast in Bed helps generate funds for our national and it’s a fun way to get others involved.”
Phi Sigma Sigma members sold 145 breakfast menus and delivered food to 30 different on- and off-campus residence halls, apartments and townhouses.
The breakfast menus allowed customers to make individualized meal selections. In addition to the menu selections, the sorority provided each purchaser with a complimentary bagel and cream cheese.
“Despite Saturday morning’s rain, the event went really well,” said Phi Sigma Sigma special events chair Grace Friedberger. “We received e-mails from GW community members expressing how happy they were with their breakfast.”
