Women’s cross country

Results from Nov. 13:
The Colonials finished in 16th place at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals at Pennsylvania State University.

News and Notes:
Freshman Michelle Concannon was GW’s top finisher, placing 84th out of 171 runners with a time of 23:27.

Men’s cross country

Results from Nov. 13:
The Colonials finished in 23rd place at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals at Pennsylvania State University.

News and Notes:
Freshman Christian Woodside set the pace for the men’s team, finishing in 122nd place with a time of 34:10.

Swimming and Diving

Results from Nov. 13:
East Carolina University defeated the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams. The GW men lost 130-100 and the women lost 155-80.

News and Notes:
GW senior Brian Ferretti had a strong meet, winning the 1000-yard freestyle (9:45.24) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:47.11). He also swam on the Colonials’ winning 400-yard freestyle relay team (3:18.07).

Next:
The Colonials compete next in the George Mason Invitational, held Friday through Sunday.

GW freshman Janine Brown had one of her best matches of the season, collecting a team-high 15 kills with a .519 with nine digs.
