For those who have not yet soaked in the images of porn star John Holmes, Landmark’s E Street Cinema will be screening 1976’s “The Lollipop Girls in Hard Candy” in glorious, orgasmic 3-D, as part of its $6 weekly film series “Midnights on E.”

Infamy can lead to misinterpretation of the essence of a man like Holmes, who you might better recognize as Johnny B. Wadd, the well-endowed man of 15 inches who, at the apex of his career, raked in a cool $300 a day. In his short, wild, supposedly drug-and-murder-addled life, Holmes had a prolific output of 2,000 film appearances until his death at the age of 43, a life arc that sounds eerily similar to Dirk Diggler in 1997’s “Boogie Nights.”

Landmark E. St Cinema is located at 11th St. N.W. Features are Friday, Oct. 15 and Saturday, Oct. 16.
