Men’s water polo
Results from Oct. 5:
GW 9, Johns Hopkins 8

News and Notes:
Senior co-captain Nick Koenemann scored four goals in the Colonials’ 9-8 win over JHU Tuesday night at the Smith Center. It is the first conference win for GW (3-10, 1-5 College Water Polo Association Southern Division).

Koenemann scored in every quarter, putting the Blue Jays away with a goal in the game’s closing minutes.

Women’s tennis

Junior Anastasia Skavronskaia finished in second place in the Flight A singles division at the Georgetown Invitational. Sophomore Leah Woodard finished first in Flight C singles.

News and Notes:
Despite dropping all three of their matches this weekend at the ECAC Championships in Flushing, N.Y., senior Matt Treadgold went 1-1 at the No. 1 singles spot.
