Greek-letter groups to hold stress-free events

The Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Association will sponsor free music and food Sunday.

The “Greek Stress-Free Zone” is open to all students and will take place behind Townhouse Row from noon to 5 p.m. It will feature radio station Hot 95.5, which will provide music and giveaways. A massage therapist will also be available from 1 to 3 p.m. to offer free massages.

IFC Program Vice President Eric Herd said the event is the “first of its kind.”

“We just want anybody walking by who hears the music to just come on by,” Herd said. “(I) think this time of year everybody is stressing about finals … and all of those things. It’s a great way to relax.”

Multicultural Greek Council elects new board members

The Multicultural Greek Council recently chose new executive board members to be in charge of the organization next year. The MGC is the governing organization for service and cultural oriented fraternities and sororities.

Pamela German will serve as president, Isaiah Pickens as vice president, Lucyanna Kasper as secretary, Carol Chuang as treasurer and Carla Vargas as community service chair.
