Comedy
Michael Dean Ester – Comedian Michael Dean Ester, as seen on “Talk Soup” and the film Senseless, will share his humor at the Mount Vernon Pub and Grill Thursday. The free show will begin at 9 p.m.

Exhibitions
Africa and Beyond: A Journey through Black History – The Caribbean Student Association will host a history of African Americans displayed in different forms of art Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Marvin Center Grand Ballroom. Cost is $3 and proceeds will go to AIDS research.

Theater
Viscom Art Show – Dimock Gallery in Lisner Auditorium is hosting an exhibit of graphic art by senior fine arts students concentrating in visual communication. Hours are Tuesday-Thursday 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and Friday 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

“The Laramie Project” – The Department of Theater and Dance presents the “Laramie Project” Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The play chronicles the efforts of a New York theater troupe to expose the feelings of the residents of a small town after being thrust into the spotlight following the 1998 hate-murder of college student Matthew Shepard. The play will be shown at Dorothy Betts Marvin Theater. Cost is $8 for students and $10 for the general audience.
