On Monday night I attended my first men’s basketball game at the Smith Center. The crowd was great, the game was close, but something bothered me other then the fact we lost. The bleacher section directly behind the Dayton bench was reserved for Dayton fans. This mixed students in with opposing fans and forced many GW students to sit higher up. I don’t know if it’s Atlantic 10 policy to always reserve seats behind the opposing teams bench, but if it’s not then students should most definitely be filling up that area. The student section would be unified and a team like Dayton would have a hard time ignoring distracting comments coming from directly behind them.
