Sigma Nu raises funds for diabetes
Sigma Nu will take part in the annual American Diabetes Association’s Walk for Diabetes in D.C. Oct. 26. The event will be held in coordination with 245 cities across the United States.
The D.C. walk begins at Freedom Plaza, 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, at 10 a.m. There will be a 6-mile and a 1-mile route. Participants will walk by the National Mall, the Tidal Basin, the Roosevelt Memorial, the White House and the Lincoln Memorial. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided for participants
Sigma Nu President Adam Banner said the fraternity will solicit
donations in the Marvin Center Friday by the first floor elevators. For more information on diabetes or the ADA walk, go to www.diabetes.org.
Sigma Nu will also host “Beat the Greeks,” a College Trivia Bowl, to raise money for the ADA. The event will take place in the Hippodrome from 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. Dec. 7. There is a $50 entry fee per four-person team and prizes will be provided for the winning teams.
