Crime Report

Simple Assault

10/4 – G Street (Delta Tau Delta Fraternity House)
Case closed

A fight between three individuals resulted in the hospitalization of one individual after being punched in the nose. The fight arose after two individuals confronted the other about spilling a drink. Metropolitan Police were notified, and two individuals are being charged with simple assault.

Unlawful Entry

10/2 – University Parking Garage 9 p.m.
Case closed

An individual was found lying on the floor in a parking garage stairwell. University Police identified the individual and found that he had been previously barred from campus. Metropolitan Police were called, and the individual was arrested.

Drug Law Violation

10/6 – The Aston 12:58 a.m.
Case closed

After being notified about a “suspicious odor” coming from a room, University Police conducted an administrative search and found marijuana paraphernalia. One individual, not affiliated with GW, was barred from campus.

After receiving an anonymous tip that drug paraphernalia was being hidden in a room, UPD and CLLC staff members conducted an administrative search and found several drug paraphernalia items.

UPD responded after two CLLC staff members reported smelling marijuana smoke on the floor. After police identified the room from which the odor was coming, an administrative search found marijuana.

University Police responded to an anonymous call from an individual who reported smelling marijuana smoke on the floor. An administrative search found marijuana and smoking paraphernalia in the room.

University Police were called to the scene and found two individuals arguing over a car. Metropolitan Police were called and the individuals were arrested.

10/2 – 21st and F streets 1:13 p.m.
Case open

University Police were called to the scene by an individual whose residence had been burglarized. Two laptops, cash and jewelry were stolen.

A scooter parked at 21st and F streets was stolen. University Police turned the case over to the MPD.
