The GW women’s cross country team raced a partial squad Saturday at the George Mason Invitational in Fairfax, Va., to “rest the top runners for the last stretch of heavy competition this season,” head coach Deb Cane said.
The women’s B team competed at George Mason, while the top runners rested in preparation for the competitive Penn State Open next Saturday. After that, only one meet on Oct. 19 lies between the team and the Atlantic 10 championships in November.
