Letters: Falling short

I, like many GW seniors, am shocked to hear that our graduation speaker will be the president of another U.S. university. After four years of seeing this University spend obscene amounts of money to bring big music acts to campus, brag about laser-light shows during Colonial Inauguration and boast of bowling alleys and video games, I expected the same kind of “wow” from our graduation speaker.

Perhaps it should come as no surprise that when it comes to all things academic, GW has again fallen short. I am quickly reminded that this is the same University that thought putting a Busta Rhymes concert in front of Gelman Library the week before finals was a good idea.

GW, with such an attitude, you’ll never crack the top 50. I want the real story – who fell through?
