GW announced Thursday it has awarded its fifth and final scholarship to Carl Elliot, a guard who averaged 15 points, eight assists and six steals his senior season at Trinity-Pawling High School. The 6-foot-3 Brooklyn native, who shot 83 percent from the free throw line, helped his team (20-3) finish third in the Class B Division of the New England Prep School Athletic Association.

Elliot received all-league honors as a running back and wide receiver for The Pride.

Elliot caps off a recruiting class ranked 22nd in the nation by RivalsHoops.com that also includes Omar Williams, Mike Hall, NaNa Mensah-Bonsu and Alexander Kireev.
