Swimming takes third, fifth in Atlantic 10 Championships

The GW women swimming and diving team placed third in the Atlantic 10 Championships with a 459 this weekend in Buffalo, N.Y. Richmond won the meet (752), followed by St. Bonaventure (584).

For Richmond, the win marks the first-ever A-10 title in any sport, as this is the Spider’s first year in the conference.

The GW men placed fifth behind first-place UMass (838) and second-place St. Bonaventure (748). Minuteman head coach Russ Yarworth was named A-10 coach of the year and five Minutemen received all-conference honors.
