Letter: Miserly printing

Where is our tuition going? This is probably the most common question on campus, and once again I have to propose it to University President Stephen Joel Trachtenberg.

Specifically, I want to know about the computer labs throughout campus. Our wonderful campus administrators have placed restrictions on us concerning our paper usage. They seek to restrict the entire campus because of a few people who abuse the computer lab’s services.

The newest problem to this saga is the lack of paper in the computer labs. I have been to the computer labs throughout campus five different times this week trying to print a paper, but there has been no paper in the machines each time I have gone. Some people would say that I should go out and buy an ink cartridge for my own printer, but to do that I would need some money. Oh yes, and my money, which was sent by my parents, has been held up in the GW mail system for two weeks.

The same University now limiting our paper usage is now refusing to provide us ample amounts of paper. This lack of paper makes the point that from Trachtenberg’s office to the CATs labs, there is failure to provide for the students.
