Monroe wins A-10 honorsSophomore Chris Monroe was named last week’s Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week. Monroe averaged 23 points a game and 10 rebounds, including a 24 point game against the University of South Florida. Against St. John’s University in the BB&T Classic, Monroe scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He is the first Colonial to earn the title this year.

Swimming & Diving:

De Sorbo named Rookie of WeekFreshman Andrew De Sorbo was named A-10 Rookie of the Week for his performance at last weekend’s Patriot Invitational. De Sorbo placed second out of 24 in two events and led GW to a third-place finish at the Patriot Invitational. This is the second consecutive week the sophomore has earned the title. -Sean Michael Lee
