Levey earns A-10 honors

Jill Levey returned to the volleyball court with a vengeance this season. GW’s senior tri-captain earned the first Atlantic 10 Player-of-the-Week honor Tuesday and led the Colonials to a perfect 5-0 start to the 2000 season.

I was really surprised, Levey said.

Levey has put up flawless numbers in the early going – 19 kills with no errors in 30 attempts for a remarkable attack percentage of .633. Levey, who is already third all-time in career assists at GW, has already posted 131 assists this season. The Colonials will need Levey’s leadership and consistency this weekend when they face No. 9 University of Florida.
