Guard signs with GW

High school standout Darnell Miller signed a national letter of intent to play for the GW men’s basketball team next season, head coach Tom Penders announced May 11. The 6-4 point guard from St. Raymond’s High School (Bronx, N.Y.) averaged seven points and seven assists in his senior season, and led his team to the Catholic High School league title in New York City.

He’s a proven winner and a pure point guard which is hard to find these days, Penders said, according to a Sports Information press release. I felt one of our problems (last season) was lack of depth at the point position and I think Darnell will help us in that area.
