THE GREATEST GW ATHLETES OF ALL TIME: No. 7 — Andy Davis

7 Andy Davis
Football (1948-1952; Washington, D.C.)

Andy Davis is GW’s greatest all-time passer. His four-year reign over Foggy Bottom began swiftly his freshman year when he led GW to the first victory ever over Georgetown.

Although the team’s record over his career was nothing to write home about, Davis was a sensation. He would later play for the Redskins.

Davis owns the school career records for passes attempted (532), completions (237), yards (3,587), touchdowns (14), total rushing and passing plays (950) and yards gained through passing and rushing (5,003). He also played in the 1951 Blue-Gray Game.
