Joe Holup, The Hatchet’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Century, stands atop GW hoops as the most prolific scorer and rebounder in school history.

He was a third-team Associated Press All-American and was first-team All-Southern Conference for four years, just some of his many feats that no one else at GW has matched.

When the Southern Conference announced its 75th Anniversary squad in 1996, Holup was on the second team.

Holup led the nation in rebounding and field-goal percentage and averaged 25 points and 23 rebounds his senior year.
